Ways to control weeds

Burn weeds away
You can burn weeds away. Here a weed burner is used. It uses gas or electricity. If you want to speed up the work pace, a large weed burner should be used. The pace is determined by the area that the nozzle head covers.

The bigger the weed burner, the faster the weeds can be burned away. But a bigger weed burner also means more weight. So the choice depends on the project.

If an electric weed burner is used, access to electricity and an extension cord are needed. If a gas burner is used, a gas bottle is needed. These are available in smaller versions, but they run out quickly. A lightweight bottle is most often used, which is transported with a bottle cart. You can also get a carrying harness and carry the gas bottle on your back.

Weed killer
You can water with weed killer. Here, a homemade mixture is used or you can buy weed killers that are often diluted in advance. One challenge, however, is that the strength of the weed killers is gradually quite weak, and that the price of weed killers can be quite high.

You also need a large watering can or a garden sprayer, a pressure sprayer with nozzles. The advantage is that it is easier to dose and thus easier to avoid the ugly stains that appear along the tiles or other places where herbicide has been unintentionally applied.

Weeding weeds
Here you need a good crowbar! Possibly one that is tailored to the tiles. If the weeds are a little taller, an electric trimmer can be used to advantage. Here, the roots cannot be reached, and the weeds therefore come back quickly. But it is an easy and quick way to keep weeds down a bit.

How long does it take to weed a vegetable garden? How many grooves in my tiles can be weeded for weeds in one hour. Such questions naturally have their answers, but a general answer cannot be given, as weeds come in many forms!

How long it takes to remove weeds depends on factors such as how dense, firm the soil is? How well the weeds have taken hold? Have the roots of the weeds spread under tiles or in other hard-to-reach places?, etc.

Should equipment be included?
While it is difficult to give a general formula for how long it takes to remove weeds, it is easy to tell how weeds are removed the fastest. The answer is good tools. With the right equipment, weeds can be removed much easier and faster.

If professional tools are used, the work can often be done faster and with better quality. The price for including this can be calculated based on what it costs to rent the equipment in a hardware store.

What is needed depends on how you choose to remove weeds. You can burn weeds, use herbicide, or find a crowbar and remove weeds manually.

Trip to the recycling station?
Should the removed weeds be disposed of? On Google Maps you can see how long it takes to get between two destinations. How often?
It is recommended to burn weeds every 3 weeks from April to September. It is easier if it is taken in the bud. So the spring burns are crucial for how easy it will be for the rest of the year. When starting, treatment is recommended every week for 3 weeks, to see a visible result faster. and then treatment every 3 weeks for the rest of the season.
