If there are a few leaves lying around, they will not cause any harm, but if there is a layer of leaves covering your lawn, you should remove them. Rake them together with a rake, use a leaf vacuum or spread them into beds with a leaf blower.
If you leave the leaves lying around on the grass, they will stick together when they get wet. High humidity will occur under the leaves, which increases the risk of your lawn being attacked by fungal diseases and/or the grass dying because it does not get enough oxygen.
Objects on the lawn
If you leave things lying around, the grass will start to turn yellow because the grass lacks light. If the object is lying around for a longer period of time, you may experience the grass dying. If it is a small spot, it will disappear over time, but if it is a larger area, reseeding is required.
Fallen fruits
Fallen apples and other fruits must be picked up. The fruits shield the grass from light, with the consequence that the grass dies, and bare spots will appear in the lawn under the tree.
Use of equipment?
What is needed depends on how you choose to collect waste leaves. You can use a leaf blower or a leaf vacuum. If the leaves are placed correctly, this is a very time-saving method. But if it’s a little windy or you just have to blow the leaves around, it’s just as easy and quick to use the traditional method with a rake and broom.
Number of m2?
With Google Maps, you can easily find the area if you’re in doubt. The main part of the price is calculated based on how many m2 need to be cleared of leaves. Usually, this is simply calculated as the area of the entire garden.
Should leaves be disposed of?
If garden waste needs to be collected and disposed of, our helper is required to bring a transparent garbage bag and transport the waste to the nearest recycling center. Our helpers often use bicycles for transportation – and as a cyclist or pedestrian, there is no fee to visit the recycling center.
